Earthquake Rescue by *masquevale
The suggester says: With the recent victims of the Haiti earthquake in my mind, this piece really reminds me to keep those who are in need in our hearts, and help them any time we can, with anything we can give, whether is be money, food, shelter, or just a helping hand.

Curious question. I think I remember there being news of robotic appendages used to enhance strength in japan just a fewmonths back. Anyone think these might be used to help the victims?

In Japan, the U.S., and probably other places too, there are things like this being developed. None are complete yet, but they'd be very useful for search & rescue, construction, etc. Interestingly, (and thankfully!) using this technology in battle is not high-priority.
